Well, the piggies are home safe and sound and I'm in LOVE! x)x)x)x)x)x)x) (one for every piggie!)

Before, because I'd never had piggies before, I didn't know what the true meaning of "popcorning" was until Trinity (formerly Scruffy) started doing it all over the place!

She and Winter (nee Tilly) have claimed the blue pigloo as theirs while Lola (nee Piggy) has claimed stake with the red one... she's such a brave little piggie, she was the first one from the big cage to come to the front and explore the hayrack even though there was 2 terriers itching to get to them on the other side of the pet barrier!

Merlin (nee Mischief) is such a porker bless him, no wonder he's so chunky, you should've see him and Autumn (nee Lizzi) tucking into the carrot and parsley - no one else could get near!

When I got them in the cage I couldn't believe the size difference between the likes of Lola and Autumn (I keep going to use their original names - its just getting confusing now!)... are aby's generally bigger than selfs?

Dynamite and Echo (nee Bradley and Amelie) have been surprisingly brave considering how skittish they are - he has been rumbling a little (like Layla said he does) but there's been no physical signs of aggression or anything like that - he's just asserting his authority, pumping his chest showing who's boss - unless, that is, you count humping, he's been doing that quite a bit! Echo has been having a good ol' chew on the chube and hay and Dynamite has been kicking the hell out of the stainless steel mirror - its so funny, he keeps trying to pull it down. Dynamite was the first of all the piggies to eat - he grabbed the biggest bit of cucumber he could find and dragged it into his pigloo, and I've found that Echo is very fond of her cat bed, she jumps in and out of there all the time.

It's amazing what you can pick up on in such a short space of time, especially that they poo - A LOT! - I didn't realise how much until they started giving me a front-seat example!

I'm leaving them to their own devices today (apart from topping up their veg later on) - can't wait to start giving cuddles tomorrow!

Will post pictures when I figure how to from my new phone, which better be soon!

Donna (now a g.p. owner!) xx>>>

Yeah! welcome to your new home piggies. It's such fun getting to know your piglets and their characters. I hope they all settle in really well and can't wait to see pigtures!

I think aby's just look bigger because they have so much fur. Welcome to the new piggy tribe can't wait to see pigtures... :))

Heehee.... I was surprised at the sheer volume of poo such a little creature can produce (but, that said, I've seen the amount of food they can put away:o and I guess it has to come out somewhere!)

I hope you and they all have a whale of a time getting to know each other properly - and PICTURES purleaze!

Just a quick question about the noises that they make. I know what rumbling and teeth chattering sounds like but what are they meaning when they make (what I can only describe as) bubble noises? Is it just general chatter? Or something like "hold on, here comes the human/dog/cat, be on the look out" ? x

Do you mean "Brrr". I think this is scared mine do it if they hear a sudden noise.

Here is a site with piggy noises and meanings...

Congratulations! :(|)
You might want to invest in a shovel for the amount of poo you'll get from 7 piggies. :(|)

I wonder if the bubbling noise you mention is what I call chuntering. It's just the geneal chit chat of my piggies as they go about their business. x
