Hi
My little Jerry (7months old) has started doing thin poop and isn't feeding much either. He normally eats well. He's been lying in one position most of the day. He doesn't drink much...a bit worried....he is in a separate cage to his brother Tom. The reason was that they had started to fight and teeth chatter when only 2/3 months old.
I will be taking him to vets tomorrow but kids are quite upset as he isn't normal jumpy and social self.

Tom has been rattling the cage all day on jerrys side....and he's got more ants in his pants. It's like a role reversal that's happened.

Someone help....please!

Please start to weigh Jerry daily at the same time and step in with syringe feeding and watering NOW. The thin poos are proof that he is not eating enough. Your home care is as important as any vet care, as meds can only get to work when you make sure that the guts keep working and there is strength to fight any health issue.
Please carefully read our guide. It is specifically written for newbies and contains tips on what you can do with what you have got at home or easily available in an emergency.

Push the cages together to they can stay in contact. It is impossible to say whether the fight is a result of a domiannce takeover attempt because Jerry hasn't been feeling right or the other way round. My money is rather on the first.
Good that you are planning a vet visit tomorrow!

Jerry was the youngest of the litter and has always been smaller than Tom. I have changed his water bottle and he seems to have had some water now. He's not interested in much nuggets (Burgess Excel), hay or fresh food. He has had 1/4 of a carrot and 2 bites from an apple.

Please offer him mushed up pellets with a syringe. Dropping fibre from the diet is usually a sign of pain and major discomfort. Unfortunately, hay should make about up to 80% of the daily food intake - hence the thin poos.
