i have a vet appt on wednesday for the girls. mostly a health check over but lulu has been itching alot and i want her checked out. lollie is not itchy. just a scratch here or there but lu goes into scratching fits at times

nail trim if they need it bc I'm not comfy with that yet. i have no issue holding still dogs, cats and horses, but not piggies.

i also want a sex confirmation on them both. I'm 99.9% sure both are girls and I'm pretty sure both have gone through a heat cycle but theres always that little inkling in the back of your mind you know.

is there anything else i should have the vet check? bc of covid, i cant go back in the room with them so i want to have everything written down

for those in the US, its Banfield located in Petsmart. not my first choice but really its my only choice. the only other one who see gpigs charges 3x more for them

If they’re experienced they will check everything that needs looking at for a general. It’s always a good idea to sex them, especially if they didn’t come from a rescue. Check for the presence of a fleshy seal just inside the slit for girls. It’s quite distinctive and you can’t miss it. Boars don’t have the fleshy seal and instead you can feel (gently) a penis ridge above the slit.
