Think I'm losing my dave

After a trip to the vets this morning to be told to keep on with the syringe feeding he's just got a poorly tummy (this is a small animal vet) this evening I've noticed Dave is losing his fur and when I have him on me he's sneezing and his nose is runny also I picked up his blanket it's not wet but it has a horrible smell to it, he's really trying to refuse the critical care food and water feels like he's just given up I'm phoning the out of hours vets now just gutted as I only lost his cage mate Derek a month ago x
 
I'm not up to date with your pigs history on your threads. But is he on antibiotics incase of uri? Or maybe the runny nose is something to with something else

That does indeed sound like he is dying.

My Dave passed away in my arms half hour ago x
 
So very sorry for your loss. You did the best you could for him 💕
 
Thank you I made it to the emergency vets but he started fitting in my arms by the time the vet came to help him over the rainbow bridge he had passed away in my arms x
 
Oh i am so sorry for your loss... you did everything you possibly could. Your Dave will be missed. There is a rainbow brodge section, you can post about him on there if you like.

Thank you all didn't sleep much last night my kids are devastated this morning, I know he's at peace now and is back with his brother Derek so gutted I lost both of them so close together x
 
I am so sorry for your loss, hard enough to loose one yet alone 2 piggies so close together .. x
 
So sorry for your loss. He was with you when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge and that will be a comfort. Sometimes the call to go is much too strong. I like to think that his friend was calling him which is why he ran there (the fitting you saw) happy to be reunited again. They are now scoffing their favourite food, popcorning and playing zoomies together.

Oh God, I am really sorry. It is awful to go through this. Please remember he was with you when he passed, with someone who loved him so very much. I am truly sorry, huge hugs x

I am so sorry you have lost Dave too. Senidng you hugs at such a dreadful time. Those boars were so lucky to have such a loving home with you. X
 
Thank you all I've spoken to the vet who saw Dave and she said he had severe gut bloat and there was nothing I could of done for him as he went down hill so fast missing both of my boys terribly but I know they are at peace now x
