well Whiskers is still plodding along and has been taking her syringe feeds ok this morning, i have put her on Metoclopramide, metacam and baytril just in case, she seems a little more brighter this morning too x

Aww Claire Hun
Big hugs and thinking of you all

Such a b****y awful and difficult predicament for you.
I know what you;re going through and you're doing the right thing with keeping on the meds as she is clearly still not ready to make her journey to The Bridge..bless her little white socks.....

So keep on supporting her.....she will tell you when she is ready

More hugs to you......the "knowing it's almost imminent but not sure when it will be but still wanting to do the very best for her/him " is really heartbreakingly carp.......

Keep the faith

x

I have been thinking of you and your piggy. Having lost my piggy boy Eyebrows recently I know how it can feel.

Big hugs and little wheeks for you and Whiskers xx

hi all whiskers is still here but she is going off her bacl legs now she is soooooo thin too, she is eating her veg and enjoying it, i really think her time is soon, i just dont know what to do take her to be PTS or just wait until she tells me? she doesnt seem in pain as she is on meds, but her weight is shockingly thin 8... yet she still finds the strenght to come over to me :(

what do i do? :(

I think you know when an animal is no longer enjoying life.
Providing they are not in pain and have been checked out, when they are listless, not moving much, not drinking/eating, even favourite treats, generally showing no interest anymore in whats around them and theres not much quality of life its time to help them pass on.
*hugs* I know its so hard but at that point you know its the right thing to do, if they are **** enjoying themselves they are oki

Having gone thru this with Duke i can only say that you'll know........i never had to do the deed, i was able to let him go in his time, he wasn't in pain as i did help him with metacam. It's horrible to seem them go down like this isn't it :(
HUGS AND LOVES for you both xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I'm sure Whiskers will let you know :(

i agree hon, i think you will know when its 'time', and if whiskers isnt in pain...........just enjoy him while you have him.

Sending comfortable pain free vibes for your boy xxxxxx x>>

Whiskers is nearing the end of her days by the sounds of it Claire, but what a wonderful life she has had with you all. Just keeping her warm and comfortable and relatively pain free is the very best you can do for your lovely pet. They bring you so much joy but so much heartache when you have to part. I'll be thinking of you over the next few days, as will everyone else I'm sure. :(

Been following this, just wanted to say that am thinking of you and Whiskers. She is such a gorgeous piggie, she has had the most wonderful life with you. xx

We get so attached to our pets and that is a good thing, but boy is it a wrench when their time on this earth is nearing the end. I guess they are part of our families. If he is in no pain Claire and still has a quality to his life let him choose when he thinks it is his time to leave, just be there with your love until then. x>>
