The Fat Boyz, as they are known in our house, AKA Tiger and Jeremy, live side by side and have their play time together.
Since we let our little'un Scruffy and the new rescue piggy Roly have a play in the conservatory (previously the domain of the Fat Boyz), Jeremy has been shouting non stop and him and Tiger have been niggling at each other worse than ever.
They haven't bitten each other yet but instead of toddling round together they are now chasing each other, Tiger tries to mount Jeremy lots of times, and Jeremy turns his back to Tiger to kick him.
I am upset because these two, whilst they have had the odd little go at each other, have always played out well most of the time, and now they just seem to chase each other.

I think it must be the smell of the others. Short of fumigating the conservatory, is there anything I can do to patch up the friendship? They are both getting a bath this weekend so maybe things will improve after that trauma! (they hate being clean!).

Aaarrgh they are so naughty! >:(

Hi Katie,

Wow not your Tiger, I refuse to believe he can be a naughty boy! He is my favourite on the forum, he is such a gorgeous boy! Yes I think bathing them would help. Do they have two of everything? And is there anywhere else they can play away from the other pigs.

Good luck with them,

Louise

Hi Louise,
Tiger is the naughtiest of the lot!

I always bathe them together anyway, I just don't know whats got into them lately. Jeremy is always shouting and chewing his bars, I think he can hear Roly in the other room, and Tiger keeps chasing Jeremy round the conservatory! Jeremy refuses to sit still for a cuddle and has turned into a wriggling ginger jumping bean. We have put a dog blanket over the end of his cage to try and calm him down, as I said to the OH we will be burning aroma therapy oils for them next!

naughty corner for the pair of them!

What are they like? Are they young pigs or are they past that stage now? I do think it could be the smell from your other two that maybe is making them narky. I do think Sheltie's can be a handful, Cuzzy was with Sunshine but is fine with us. I think they are long haired Diva's!

ha ha! Tiger is 1 and Jeremy is 2 or 3.. and Tiger is defo a diva!

They are in their own room but Roly is so loud that they can hear him shouting!
Honestly!

Hi Katie,

I had similar probs with Wallace & Wilbur, brothers, lived together fine until Wilbur copped the smell of the other boys, then he went mad & would attack Wallace

The only way i stopped it was for the W's to play out first & then the H's; by the time they went out again the day after the H's scent had gone :)

Hmm, thanks Niki, I will make sure I clean up any trace of the little uns before letting the big'uns out in the conservatory! (I think there was a couple of poops courtesy of Roly that I forgot to pick up!)
