Well the last 2 piggies that landed on our doorstep, literally, look as though they may both be pregnant and the plucked one, Ellie is so thin. You can feel all her bones and am waiting for the scales to arrive (just bought them).

Look at these pics and tell me what you think?

This is Hannah, she is a himalayan

aww I don't know but those pics have made me cry. Poor poor babies.

Are you sure she's plucked and it's not a skin condition?

Can you feed her afalfa hay, corn on the cob and dried peas? All of those should help her put on weight and aren't harmful

NO parsley incase she is pregnant (can bring on labour).

Please keep us updated on them as I feel so sorry for them it's really playing on my mind.

oh so sad how could anyone let them get to such a state? can't comment on the pregnancy issue.... Maybe the loss of hair is due to lack of nutrition? maybe worth asking alcesterpigs what he thinks?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were pregnant - gosh, they ARE so THIN, they are more than half starved!

I wouldn't be surprised if the hairloss is connected to the bad state the poor girl is in, ie especially vitamin C deficiency - make sure that you give plenty of vit.C, especially, if she's pregnant!

Have you had a look on guinea lynx? http://www.guinealynx.info/hairloss.html

the poor babies! they are soo thin! Good luck with them and give them a ton of tasty veg to fatten them up. Corn on the cob is meant to be fattening! x
