Am I ok doing it at the moment with the bad weather? I know I can keep the house warm but I don't want them cold if they are still slightly damp overnight. I am a bit worried about using the furdryer on them...I was thinking of holding them in a towel to get the excess off then put them in front of the radiator in their pen, is this ok and how long would it take for them to dry?

Also, is it better to trim before or after the bath?

They want to look their best now they have found piggy love. ;)

I will take some wet pig pics too!

hehe, I will get some of them in the sink! 8;)

I am doing a full bath this time instead of just bums.

Can I put water in there for them to stand in or is it best just to use the jug on them? I just don't want them panicking and putting their faces under the water. :(

5 hours?! Will have to get the furdryer out then!

Don't put water too deep. I prefer not to put any water and bathe them on my arm under the running tap after I had one or two piggies panicking and trying to jump out.

That is what I was worried about, I didn't want them panicking and slipping or jumping. I might just fill it so it only just covers their feet and see how they react to it. :)

Look at their little faces, they don't have a clue!

I put a couple of cm of water in the bowl so that while I'm lathering them up their feet and man parts are soaking in the water!
I use a jug to rinse them so that I can control the water temperature and flow more easily. Plus the sound of the tap or shower seems to frighten them even more. Although it would be easier and quicker!
I like the idea of having the piggie on your arm, I might try that with Rocky because he is desperate to get away when I bath him. Poor soul!
As for drying, I thoroughly towel dry my boys (see my avatar!) and then let them have floor time in their run, with a couple of towels for them to cuddle into if they need it. They normally have a couple of hours in their run anyway, and they are dry before they go back in their cage. I haven't tried a hairdryer, I think it would send them running for the hills!
Good luck, we want pictures!

I am a bit concerned about the dryer too, they are still soooooo nervous with me, I don't think that would gain my trust! :))

Although my BF has a travel dryer so that may be a little more tame on them.

I will put their towels on the towel rail to make them warm and snuggly. :)

I have never given them a proper bath before, I am quite nervous. :...

I will charge my camera batteries before I begin, fear not! ;)

Bathtime was a success! I have 2 VERY happy piggies - they are popcorning everywhere! Even after a trim! :)

Pics are to follow in the photo section! ;)
