Thank you for changing it, we'll use your advice when we come to get the piggies. Thanks for the advice!Hi and welcome to the forum. Just to let you know I have editted your locatihon as you put your street address in and this was then visible publicly on the internet. I have left it as UK as the moment but if you want you can change it to your town/city in your profile. With keeping dogs and piggies and I would aim for separate rooms with a door closed. A stairgate can be jumped for a determined dog, especially if you are not around to keep an eye on them
I would also make sure that your cage has a lid, just in case one of the dogs get into the room.Thank you for the advice!I would also make sure that your cage has a lid, just in case one of the dogs get into the room.
You can get lids for C&C cages, which are a great indoor option (2x4 minimum for two females, 2x5 for two males). There are also suitable commercial cages. 120x60 cm (equivalent to a 2x3 C&C cage) is the bare minimum requirement for two, but a 150x60 cm (equivalent to a 2x4 C&C cage) is strongly recommended for two guinea pigs.
