She said as a house/hutch yes - shes sitting here with me! to put into the run so they could go in and out as they pleased.

depends what for? shelter while in the run it is ideal i want on for mine but it would be terrible for them to live in, I'm not sure the minimum hutch measurements per pig but bigger is always better

At a guess I would say a raised 4ft by 2 ft hutch for 2 piggie's with a mesh front and an enclosed bedding area, she could always stand this in the run and if it's not too high up have a ramp to the run or even better get a double hutch:))

Not sure if you mean for them to live in it? If they are to spend a lot of time in it there are no windows/openings so it would be very dark in there during the daytime?

The minimum cage size for a pair of pigs is 4ft x 2ft (120cm x 60cm). A run should be at least 4ft (120cm) long, narrow gauge mesh to prevent predators, with a secure lid.

The pigs need a single level that is 4 ft x 2 ft, areas on different levels do not count as the space shared by the pigs when on the same level has to be spacious enough, less space = more stress = fall outs/fights.

A good amount of homework and asking lots of questions will mean happy pigs and happy owners - keep on asking!

ETA There are sticky threads a the top of each section of the forum where most commonly asked questions are covered, they are a great source of info.

the 1st 'hutch' should only be a shelter and the other hutch you said they should have isnt big enough as the rspca minimum is 4ft x 2ft unless she was getting a lone one from a rescue but bigger is better!:)

Yes keep asking question's when i first got piggie's i didnt know they even ate hay!") and this morning i got all excited about getting some decent quality hay at a bargain price too
