and then it gets too warm, and I cant remove the clothes.
and then there is an itchy spot, and I cant reach it.
and then there is the hayrack - oh no, I got stuck with the fabric, and now I cant get myself loose!
and then I want to clean myself, but its restricting my movement and I cant...

lets take it one step further - and then theres the hayrack, and the collar of my cute sailor outfit caught itself on it.. cant.. breathe.. cant... breathe.....

No thanks, not for my piggies. Might *look* nice, but its far too dangerous, and not very nice for the piggy to wear either.

aww isnt that sweet :)
it wouldnt be for constant wear... maybe only while you can supervise but its so cute! :D

I would never put one on any of my piggies. Except maybe for a picture. I just thought it was cute. I don't think it's intended for everyday wear! Piggies don't NEED clothing. I don't think theres anyone stupid enough to keep it on there pig all the time especially while there in there cage. That wouldn't be safe at all. I think for a supervised photo shoot it would be fine.

no... If i got anything like that for my pigs it would def only be for either special days or for a photo :)
poor things would hurt themselfs if it was an all the time thing :(

Not only would they hurt themselfs, but think about how uncomfortable it would be for them to wear it all the time! I just thought it was cute! I never saw a piggie in a dress before! LOL

lol yeah it's cute, but like everyone else i would buy one for my guieneas...not even for photo shoots. To be honest that guinea pig in the photo looks like he is so uncomfortable and hating every second of that outfit being on....it looks tight on him too :-\

Although it does say in the advert ''Please do not leave your Pig unattended while wearing their outfit.''

Personally I think my pigges look far cuter in their own lovely fur coats ;)

hehe! ;D i think that's cute! obviously not meant to be worn all the time ? just for special occassions :)

piggys are not ment to wear clothes but can see that for a photo it would look cute just not for my photos I like mine natural and not posed

I wouldn't buy one...piggies have fur, they're cute enough without wearing clothes in my opinion. If I wanna dress something up I would rather buy a doll ;)

I can see what you mean, it did look cute, and i'm so glad that once again you're a responsible person :smitten:
I do so hope the person that took these piccs was doing it only for a few minutes max, and then only for a photo shoot ?

Have a look around on youtube to see what sort of things are being done to piggies, things that we would all consider to be something no sane person would do.. there are alot of stupid people out there who would not be responsible enough to think of the animal first, but only about how cute it looks. its a sad world :-\

I've never liked clothes on animals. It's really creepy. They look like little deranged children. :-\

No no, my piggies are not for dressing up. I'd be scared of hurting them as that thing does look quite a tight fit!

I don't think there's any way I could get one of my boys into a dress, or the cute easter egg outfit I saw on the net! It would feel a bit mean and to be honest they are proper little boys and I wouldn't want to dress them up, they'd look wierd. But I do get tempted to put a bow in Tiger's coronet on his head - hee hee!

I don't like it - sorry.

No, I'm sorry I posted that stupid picture. I posted this thinking "Hey, that's kind of funny, I've never seen a piggie in a dress before!" Now I feel as I'm being judged. I never said I wanted to buy one, or put one on my piggie, or that I was going to go into the guinea pig clothing business. Yes, I see were people's concerns are. A piggie could get injured, if it was left unattended (however if you read her ad it clearly states "Please do not leave your Pig unattended while wearing their outfit") A piggie could get to hot, or itchy, or the clothing may not fit right! I wouldn't put one on my pig either. I just thought I would share what I thought was a cute picture. I didn't know so many people would take offense to it.

no one is having a go at YOU - just at the idea of actually dressing piggies up!

You never know, some silly person might look at your thread thinking "hey yes it DOES look cute" and actually go and make the piggies wear it, for longer periods, unattended, god knows.
So I suppose its better that everyone was holding their "no way" sign up, so that everyone looking at the thread doesnt get the wrong idea?

Dont worry... were not judging YOU :) The clothes are adorable I think :) but I do agree it would need to be worn under supervision :)

I was reading this yesterday and thought God I bet you wish you had never posted it crittersgalore; what with everyone seeming to be jumping at you! I think you were only trying to have a chat about it too - nevermind. Don't take it to heart love. :)
