Mistletoe and Jingle came to me on the 20th of Feb. they were six months old. They have had lots of laptime since then but never enjoyed it so I started providing a hidey house for them to sit next to me on the sofa in.

Jingle will happily eat whilst in there and Mistletoe has just started to. I can even stroke Jingle and she will carry on munching but if I put either of them on my lap (with a blanket to hide in) they just freeze!

I do the same.

I put one of the piggies fleece blankets down and have them sitting next to me on the settee where they can lay down if they wish.

I then pick them up individually and have a cuddle. It's up to them then whether they would like to stay sitting on me or go back on the fleece.

Aww, they look so comfy.
That's a great idea.

Mine don't like getting picked up but seem OK once their feet are on a surface.
I would be a little scared that mine would run off the couch if I put them beside me.

Awwwwwwwwww :drool::drool::drool::drool: They are both adorable and it sounds like you have a lovely bond

I used to just have a blanket for them to hide in but it just wasnt enough for them! They are not keen on being picked up yet, hoping they will gradually learn to like it.

Mine have never moved when they are on the sofa, except Jingle who will slowly slink back into the hidey if I put her onto my lap.

Thank you. I really love them. I can hardly believe my luck!

Awww. What a lovely view.

They look like they are enjoying their lap time treats in their safe little hidey. My two hate lap time and will only tolerate it in their fleece snuggle sacks for about 10 mins and then get squirmy lol..

Yeah, Jingle starts to bite and tear at the hidey after a while. She did come out onto the sofa for almost 2 miliseconds today! Mistletoe ate quite happily so some progress is being made.

So glad I am not the only one with lap time haters!
