I just happened to stumble across this! B8F33A99-DB2F-48F8-8589-297AEE352E62.webpWow I read it as my piggies kept me entertained as they played together, I’m amazed that anybody could not find such gentle and beautiful creatures amazing!

I couldn’t read any further! I was horrified, I could’ve passed out there and then! 🎭🎭🎭😂😂😂

Although I didn’t say angry in the title, I was more disappointed, just clearing that up!

i hear you. that really rubbed me the wrong way to. Any body who can talk that way about any living breathing creature is a monster ,they feel happiness and pain just like we do.. I'm sure they just wanted to get a rise out of people.

Theres a saying I like... 'Some people are so poor, all they have is money' or something like that. Some people will never understand the value of animals, it's their loss.

The way I see it, these people are just jealous.. I treat my pets better than some people treat their kids and I suppose that is the result. People who don't know how to love anything but themselves and have some sad, desperate need for the attention of stangers? Sad really!

I Agree. And its all about the upbringing of the kids. I was taught from a young age all about wildlife by my dad..went on nature reserve walks and forest walks every weekend, because we were kind of poor it stopped me from having too many possessions. Thats why i respect Animals so much now i think. Some and i repeat some kids these days are just out of control. All they care about is xbox, smartphone , facebook and selfies

People in the waiting lounge at the exotic vet gave me a second look when they saw that I brought in my tiny Ben the hamster to be looked at by the exotic vet. Even the exotic vet told me people rarely bring in a tiny hamster for an eye infection, that people leave them to lose an eye.
Well, my Ben the hamster got treated for his eye infection, and became healthy once again, happily eating and running on his wheels every night.
Here is my Ben the hamster doing well. He is currently 3 years old, bless him.

ben sure is handsome :p

When Panda had his first bladder surgery, they told me afterwards that no-one at the practice had ever done this op on a guinea pig before. Mostly, they said, people had their pigs pts. I was glad they hadn't told me that beforehand! I suppose there must be lots of heartless people around. I hope I don't know any of them.

Since Panda's pioneering operation, they have been treating more and more piggies - word has got around that there is a vet who can do this stuff I suppose - which gives me hope for the human race :)

I done an art piece on this quote, based around contrasts of the world and primarily between rich and poor and racial diversity. In 2015 I went on a charity trip to Ghana and this is what inspired the art... one of my favourite quotes also

I once took a gerbil to the vets and got some very strange looks...
I get funny looks at my vets when I take a piggy (or two) in what's designed to be a cat carrier... no way I'm putting one of my pigs in a carrier that's not much bigger than their body, and nor would I put a cat in the carrier my pigs have!

My pigs go in a cat carrier too

About 18 months ago, my lovely neighbour Maggie gave my her old cat basket that she had bought in the 1950's for her cat. She said that she would never have a cat again and would I like it for my piggies. She refused to take any money for it and it is a beautiful wicker basket that will, at a push, hold 3 piggies.

After giving it a thorough clean I have used it ever since. It beats the old hamster cage I was using!

My vet is amazing. She isn’t an exotic specialist but is a small animal specialist at my vets but she is always willing to get advise from one if needed and is willing to listen and learn. She’s been seeing guinea pigs of mine for almost 10 years and says she’s learned more from treating mine than she has from any other guinea pig. It makes me proud that she’s able to treat others thanks to me but it just shows how few people go to the vets for more complex issues :(

Just goes to show there IS an argument in favour of human sterilisation! Idiots like this should never be allowed to procreate & multiply!
Looks like there's a few sad cases in need of it on your screenshot!
Shallow wasters! :rant::cen:

When we moved from the East Coast to the West Coast, people were shocked that we brought our 2 hamsters and gecko with us on the plane. Why would you bring those useless pets with you to your new home, let alone pay for them! It would be cheaper to buy new ones when you arrived! Yes they are little pets but how can I leave them behind? Yeti (winter white/ asain cross) lived to be 4 years old before we lost him in June. We miss him terribly and would pay to fly them again if we needed to!
