Hi Which is best for 3 guinea pigs, i like the thistle hall but worried about the steep ramps. Does anyone have one of these? what is the quality like?

Thanks

I don't have a Thistle but I have a Lavander Lodge with is 5x2 and big enough for three. It is high quality, my rabbits live in my one now and love it. :)

The Thistle is 4x2 isn't it? Which is big enough for 2 some people take into account the upstairs but you have to think that some pigs may not use the upstairs.

I have a thistle hall and have 4 pigs in it, I have a large log arch downstairs for them to shelter in as thats where i keep the food but they all use the ramp quite happily and they do use the bedroom upstairs, although they are all quite young so whether this would be more of an issue for older pigs i don't know.

I have a Thistle Hall with an attached run, it houses 7 pigs. Only one has issues with the ramp, she can get up but cant get back down...

I put a shelf in the bedroom compartment so it is a bit cosier and they have another level.

I think the height of the LL would be wasted on piggies.

The height on the Lavander is 3ft you can add an upstairs though if you know someone who can do it. :)

I have a thistle hall too - the girls took a little while to master the ramp, but now they love it! downstairs has a corner house and bendy log tunnel to keep them entertained, and its great!

thanks for the replies, i have just ordered a Lavender lodge. i hadn't thought about the age of guinea pigs as some are old and wouldn't be able to handle the ramp.

I have two Lavender Lodges - one with two piggies in and one with three in and it's fantastic cos they have loads of room to run about and they are really easy to clean out too.:)

Just be careful that the lid is always up you don't want it falling on your bonce...LMAO!
