Thoughts about this cage?

this is the biggest commercial cage I have found, what do we think about this for 2 boys?

yeh need to give that level some thought....8 I want a CC cage but I am just afraid if we leave the door open to the room by accident one of the dogs might get in.... with it being open top its just a big worry as no matter how careful we would be ...we are only human I guess!

That's a brilliant sized cage 5x2.5 feet is more than enough for 2 so they'll have loads of space to run around and popcorn!

the price is really good too under £100.00 -c with a coupon I have already ordered a cage but this is better so am wondering if Zooplus will let me return the other cage... if they don't I guess I could donate that to rescue too....

yeh have been thinking about that, but not sure how strong they would be? compared to this cage, I have a newfoundland who weighs 80kg :p

The cage you've found would be better for safety anyway I think ... but I would just make sure your dog can't get in the room and maybe put the cage out of reach like on a chest of drawers etc.

yeh the dogs are not normally allowed upstairs anyway but my lurcher can jump the dog gate if she really wanted to, she would be my main worry out of all of them.

I have this cage for my 2 boys and it is perfect! To sort out the top level I bought some really thick table protector from Argos, it is thick enough to make the top firm and solid,and is waterproof. I then replaced the ramp with a solid one from amazon, which is also longer, so less steep or the pigs. The ramp attaches to the bottom of the top floor with hooks.
Word of warning though, I bought mine from zooplus and the first 2 arrived (they ship from Germany) with the bottom tray smashed to bits. Had a lot of hassle to get an I damaged one, they pack the whole thing in just one price of cardboard! Not sure where else you can get this cage from though. Good luck if you go for it!

Piggy Life - how do you put doors on the enclosed c&c cages?!

I'm about to make one, and plan to enclose it because of my dog - but I'm confused how you make a door for access?! Do you buy these bits seperate?

maybe I will see if I can get one similar from somewhere else then I do have a cage coming from Zooplus but it was alot cheaper I may make do with that until I find one this size...if its not broken when it arirves.....
