tiger has burst his cyst

I've been watching it carefully its under his eye on his cheek, tonight the little monkey must have scratched it and it was bleeding , so I had to cut the fur back to get to it and get the pus out and then hibiscrub was used to clean it out for some reason it wouldn't stop bleeding so had to pack it with blood stopper which worked wonderfully mind you he now has a yellow cheek , also gave him some baytril and will do so for another few days to stop any infection, I'm wondering why it bled so much maybe becasue it was on his face they say the face always bleeds most , by the time I had finsihed with him cuddles and spoiling he looked quite relaxed despite what he had been through , bless him :smitten: I do love my pigs even with a bald yellow cheek , its the look of thankyou mum he give me :smitten:
 
Awww poor little fellow, at least with such a wonderful mummy he has the best care possible. :)
 
Oh love him poor little man. Its a good thing he has such a great mummy to look after him :)
 
Tiger is sooo lucky to have you,makes me feel upset for the ones who have uncaring owners... :(
 
hes had his daily dose of baytril his cheek looks fine but pus is still in there I can smell ,it but am not going to pull him about dont want more blood loss hoping the baytil will dry it up, he came running up to me this morning as if to say hey look at my face, its not swollen now which is a good sign, little darling :smitten:

he was too busy stuffing his face for me to give him his baytril so far this morning have to keep running out to him to see if he has finished so I can give it to him , little monkey
 
Glad to hear he is eating that is defineltly a sign he is feeling better!
 
oh hes feeling better already he was trying to climb out of his run when I walked in with chopped carrots , he just couldnt wait, cyst wound is crusting over nicely and drying up, no smell today so A/Bs must be working and he finally stopped eating so I could give him his baytril,
 
tonight I had a good look at it and got a lot of pus out of it making it bleed a little but blood stopper soon stopped it the pus was round the egde of it so was hard to get at, but cotton buds worked well soaked in hibiscrub, looks a lot cleaner now I've got the yuk out he knocked the scab off letting me see into the wound thats how I saw the pus and got it out , he was so good just wrapped him up and he lay on his side while I dealt with it , think it got itchy once it had crusted over thats why he knocked the scab off,

Sounds like the wound is healing up nicely and that he is making a good recovery. So pleased to hear this. Keep us informed. O0
 
the outside of the wound is healing but the crater left by the cyst is still a little bloody when touched MIck held him while i cleaned it tonight and he moaned at the smell of the pus I said shut up you'll offend him my little man does not smell, then gave Tiger a cuddle and kissed his little nose mick just went ugh woman you are mad ;D ;D yep mad about my pigs smelly or not , tonight i syringed the wound out with hibiscrub there is some pus still in there you can smell the damn stuff think its as little deep for me to get put so hope the baytril works, he also had fiberplex tonight and loved it chewing on the end of the syringe thing for more,
 
To much information. ;D Fingers are still crossed for the little fellow. O0
 
hes perfectly normal but the wound is a pain to clear up, I cannot believe he scratched it open himself and started it all off little monkey
