Is he bedded straight onto Megazorb?

normally it is newspaper with megazorb on top, first time was couple of days after a clean but the most recent one he was left in playpen over night on fleece as they enjoy a large amount of space so let them play out for 24 hours usually after a clean, they had sleeping bags etc.. so wouldn't have been cold! no central heating since about may but very warm in my house gets to about 24 degrees in day and doesn't generally drop much at night (my boyfriend stays up late on weekends and reports about 18 degrees at 3 in morning)

Am I correct in thinking that there is no hay on top of the Megazorb? The latter can be dusty, I'm just wondering if it is a problem with the bedding. Have you tried them with hay on top of the Megazorb?

It would be better in the sense that it would put something between the piggies noses and the Megazorb. As I recall, one of my past pigs was particularly sensitive to Megazorb and wouldn't stop sneezing until I removed it!

Pigs need hay for nutrition, in addition it gives them some where to hide and settle down to sleep.

They get hay from a hayrack which is refilled 2 to 3 times daily to eat from will think about bedding them on some too, can't at minute as only got herbage but will see about getting a large bale of meadow hay!
