I just thought about it today, I seem to spend more time reading up and talking about guinea pigs on the internet, than I actually spend with my three little ones downstairs!

Its really weird.. I go and clean the cage, chop the veggies, take lots of piccies of them.. and then go upstairs and read and talk and discuss everything piggy, while my three guineas are downstairs and minding their own business...

Suppose I should really cut down on the amount of time spent on piggy forums, and give more cuddles to mine.

anyone else got that problem?

Of course, that would solve that problem ;-)

But I really only have space in the kitchen for mine, our office / computer room is too cramped as it is to try and fit the piggies in aswell :)

It must be lovely just having them next to you all the time, during posts on the forum just reaching over and giving them a cuddle, then going back to whatever you were doing on the comp..

Ummm. I dont have guinea piggies yet ::) But when I do get them, they will come sit with me at my computer and be in the same room hopefully as me. Thats why I only want 1 or 3 guinea pigs ;D

Not a real problem I have too :)

Titch and Jo-Jo are next to me and Ton and Guinea are in my room behind me. Girlies are upstairs so only get to spend time with them when they are brought down. But there is 5 of us in the house (not at the same time, all the time) so everyone gets cuddles and time.

It only looks like I am on the forum all day cos I have broadband and leave the pc on 2funny

I know what you mean Abnoba but it doesn't mean you care any less about them. Mine are inside for the winter now and it is great that everytime we go into the kitchen they're there and they look up to see you. What I like is that they're always doing something different, eating or sleeping in a different place or in their fiddlesticks houses, or just exploring.

When I started taking in guineas my idea was that I wanted to give them as natural a life as possible and didn't want to be picking them up and cuddling them several times a day. For one thing it's difficult to catch them in their shed in the summer. Now they're inside I do pick them up and cuddle them much more but I know they're happy enough doing their thing. I think dogs and cats are more appreciative of the cuddles. I just love watching them living their lives, as long as I check them over frequently and they've got plenty of space and stimulation. Bit like fish and birds really, you can get loads of pleasure from them without holding them frequently.
