My oldest woke my youngest up around 9pm, she is now bouncing, she has got up, got dressed (herself) and declared it is time for piggie cuddles... Well how could I say no!

She is still nicknaming nugget psycho despite the fact nugget is calm annd hormone free and it is marshmallow having the mad season this time (teenager not hormonal) 😂
Now someone pass the caffeine please it is nearly midnight and my toddler is in full on piggy mode! 'MUMMY MUMMY PIGGIE FOOD TIME' no luna it is not veg time do not give them any ideas 😉 oh maybe just a tiny bit of forage then 🤔

So lovely to see a toddler enjoying guinea pigs 🙂. If I have kids I want them to grow up round animals 👍
I have two (early) teenage sons. They grump and mono syllable to me most of the time. But show them one of our guinea pigs and they immediately can't help but smile and mellow so much over our two beautiful girls 💕💕

She was around 6 months when we got our first 2 piggies (including the one in the photo) she used to crawl to their cage and babble and smile, always set them off popcorning, we taught her to hold a Teddy piggy gently and how to stroke gently before she was allowed to hold them but she's always been deeply in love with them, as have the 4 and 6 year olds 💞 I love how dedicated they are, they've never lost interest despite now having other pets 😍 in fact the day our puppy came home my oldest said after 20mins playing with her 'can I go see the pigs now please' 💞 they aren't children's pets, they're my piggies but I love that my children enjoy them, help with food time etc this little one even hands me packets of recovery food and says 'piggy din dins' if one is on syringe feeds! 💞

That’s such a lovely picture. My eldest who is 7 is totally devoted to our piggies. My youngest who is 5 could take them or leave them. If I walk past them in the evenings when she’s in bed and they wheek she comes down to check they are ok. She gets up and gives them their nuggets in the morning and gets their veg ready in the afternoon. She watches them during floor time and is very good with them. In fact I think she’s a piggy whisperer, they will only let her stroke them in their cage, there’s definitely a bond there! When we had a play date last week I overheard her telling her friend, “you have to respect them, you have to be quiet!” ☺️ At least I know she listens to me some of the time!
Hope you managed to get your toddler back to sleep eventually!
