We have 2 indoor guineas. They get regular time outside on the lawn in a large wire-frame enclosure.

I am wondering in cases like today when we had some light showery rain - should we rush them indoors so they don't get wet, or are they OK to remain in the garden?

The enclosure is part-covered, but they didn't go inside - they seemed to enjoy it!

What is the best thing to do?

with mine, if it's just a few spots I'll leave them out, though they do have a covered bit to go into.

If it's any more than that they get rushed straight inside. I'm a neurotic mummy!

If it's warm like today, and they have access to shelter, you can leave them outside without trouble. Most guinea pigs are not fazed by some gentle rain!

This reminds me of a few weeks ago when Sophie told me my boys opted to sit out in the rain - silly pigs!

Welcome to the forum, grinder. :)
Summer showers are usually light and warm - I wouldn't be too fussed about the pigs being out in this as long as they do have the option to go under cover out of the rain. If it's more than a drizzle or a very light shower, I'd be inclined to completely cover the roof of the run or bring them indoors, or if there is any chance of the rain persisting or getting heavier.

My two indoor guineas were out in the run yesterday, I am a bit paranoid about flys. I sat out watching them the other day and one fly tried quite a few times to land on them. It worries me, incase of fly strike. They haven't been out as much this summer cos of the weather, suppose I worry too much really.
