I believe you when you say they go home when asked, because I used to have a boar called Archie that would do the same if I said "get in then Archie"
I think also that he was about to get a treat helped too. Clever little animals.

I had a dog that would do something like that too, I think they associate the particular pitch and tone of your voice when saying certain words with a learned action.
