I have just realised, I have had my new piggies for just over 2 weeks and have posted questions about them but have not yet introduced them!

The plan was to get 2 sows to add to my existing sow & boar pair but came away with another sow & boar. We came to the sensible conclusion that the planned pairing of Belle and another sow would not work out as the other sow was just a tad grumpy :)) . Archie stole mine and my oh's hearts from the second we saw him. Thank you so much Helen for letting me take your little guy. He is simply THE best piggie ever (I am finding it very hard not to have a favourite!)

Thank you so much Helen (Hels) for bringing these 2 gorgeous piggies, Archie and Belle, into my life.

So here they are... Archie (white rex ) and Belle (lilac tri shelti cross)...

I didn't intend for there to be more photos of Archie but he is such a show off for camera! and Belle is still quite shy.

You may recall Belle from some of Hels posts. She didn't have a name until we picked her up. She was the little girlie who had three babies in March and then very sadly lost all three. :(

I'm in love with Archie...x)x)x) such a sweet little face and lips to kiss... wait till Glynis sees them...x>>

who doesn't? I'm sure she'll comment!

Anyway, lovely pistures and lovely pigs, are they homed together?

nope not yet. they will be once all Archies "tadpoles" have died off :)) He was neutered 11 days ago.

they live in a C&C separated by grids at the moment. they are getting on like a house on fire so far. they choose to spend most of their resting time laid pressed next to each other on either side of their bars rather than use their cosey beds.

Stunning! Is Archie a rex? If so they are always laid back! Poor Belle she looks a little timid, she will come round in time she has been through so much.

And Helen has all the lilacs! Hmmmm I must go and pig nap! :(|)

Thanks for sharing your babies! :)

Archie is a rex yes. I so loved his fuzzy curly whiskers x) :))

Helen did warn me not to be concerned if he didn't popcorn or anything and its true. To quote a saying ... If he was any more laid back he'd be horitontal :)) I don't think he can be @rsed to popcorn. Quite frankly, its too much like hard work. rolleyes :))

I'm really jealous, he sounds a real wee character...
It's a good sign that they like eachother's company so much...

Good luck and keep us updated.

Oh and little Belle is such a pretty thing isn't she?! Such a lovely colouring too. I love the lilac colouring although I'd never seen one in the flesh before her. Gorgeous. She is so timid. But getting better all the time. I think she is still too shy to really enjoy cuddles, just sits on your lap still as a statue poor little baby. She will now come and take lettuce from me through the bars which she wouldn't when she arrived.

The vets amused me when I rang to register them though. :))

The conversation for Belle went...

Vet Receptionist (VR)... "Name?"
ME... "Belle"
VR... "You said guinea pig?"
ME... "Yes thats right"
VR... "I'm assuming girl?!"
ME... "Yes"
VR... "Colour?"
ME... "Lilac"
VR... "Oh, don't have lilac on my list, isn't that purple?!"

rolleyes:)):)):))

bless... we just assume they know about all the pets on the planet... funny though...:))

OMG - your pigs look so, so cosy!

I need to go out and buy more fluffy beds for my boys! I buy toys from pampered piggies, and was waiting for them to stock beds but... zomg!

Those pictures of Archie are so sweet! x) and Belle very pretty x)

What a lovely post to come across, I've had a few hugs from Archie at Hels and found him to be a teddy bear.
Belle, came to me as a foster in hope to pair with 1 of either 2 sows I had at the time but sadly it wasn't meant to be. I'm ever so pleased she has finally got a wonderfull home and soon to be a hubby :)

x)x)

Its just a great ending for both of these two - Belle - as I think Sam (Lennypig) pointed out = gave birth to three little ones who sadly all died here - she has had a tough time and it was quite difficult for us to bond her with anyone else so its a great ending all round - and she couldn't have found a better home than with you Sam - I am delighted for both you, Claire, Arch and Belle.

So thrilled.

Love Helen.#xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks, Lenny for making me laugh!

I'm glad Archie, who looks like a real teddy-come-alife character and lovely Belle have hit it off so well! All the best to them - and you!

Have to say Archie is absolutely stunning & his personality is just like my Hamish's (also a rex) tho' it's rare Hamish does popcorn & being so big it's hilarious to watch.

Have to say tho' Louise not ALL rexes are laid back - Haggis! :(|):(|):(|)

Awww what big softies they are.
They are gorgeous, keep those pigtures coming :))

x

I just love the sleeping pigture and the one in the hands - so laid back and cute! They are both sweeties and I'm sure you'll get a lot of joy from them.

Archie and Belle are lovely .......... my Paris is a white rex, she really cuddly too xoxo

Oh how precious are they! On my pignapping list for sure. *Love* the photo of Archie sleeping. Such darling names too!
