Junior Guinea Pig
Hi I could really do with some advice about my lovely old lady Bubble.
She has been unwell for two weeks with a uri she is nearly 7. She seemed to be recovering after finishing her course of Baytril. However Friday evening I thought she was very quiet when I looked at her I could tell something had happend. She was struggling to stand and her balance was all over the place. Saturday morning at the vets they were unsure weather it was a stroke or head tilt. He gave her a steriod injection and we will see how things go. Today she is not moving although will eat and drink when I take food to her. It is just so upsetting to see her unable to move, so first thing in the morning I will take her back to the vets. Has anyone else had a similar experience with strokes in elderly pigs? I don't want her to suffer but am dreading having to make the final decision, she has a two year old companion and she will miss her.
