I am on here once in a while, but when I was on last week I noticed someone had mentioned about www.timothyhay.co.uk and had just recieved a delivery of it. I looked on their website and noticed the farm is just 5 miles from me (just outside Stirling). I request a smaple bag to see if my two would like it. When I received the sample bag I could not believe the difference compared to the Pets at Home Timothy Hay. In fact I would go as far as saying I am not sure what is in a bag of Timothy Hay from Pets at Home now. Its brown, not fresh, stilightly dusty and occasional smells. Gave the girls the sample from www.timothyhay.co.uk and needless to say it was gone in seconds. So I request to pick up at 10kg at the weekend there. However in between that time my two took the huff and turned there noses up at the Pets at Home Timothy Hay. So Satuarday couldn't come quick enough. Now I have two extremely happy pigs and popcorn now everytime I fill their hay up!

So its a win win for us all. The girls are gnawing on fresh green thick long strands of Timothy Hay and I am saving a small fortune :)

Pets at Home Timothy Hay is £4 for 1kg (I was going through at least a bag a week, a lot of it wasted though)

www.timothyhay.co.uk is £15 for 3kg or £22 for 10kg (I was £12 for the 10kg as I could pick it up from the farm)

So far I am extremely happy with it and so are my two girls which main thing. There so doesn't appear to be as much waste either.

Also does anyone use the fresh veg island in Morrisons? They were put into our local store towards the end of last year/start of this year. Fresh spinach, kale, raddish with their leaves, carrots with leaves, big bunches of herbs and other vegatables. Again the girls are loving this compared to the bagged stuff. I wash everything throughly when I get them and I have also noticed these vegatables last longer too.

Just thought I would share. This is just a stop gap until the veggies in the garden start coming through!

Thanks x

I have used the veg island at Morrisons and the pigs love the food from there.

I use the veg island at my local Morrisons sometimes and my boars love the veg there. I think so far I've only tried them on the kale, and the carrots with the tops and they loved both especially the carrot tops! As you say you need to make sure you wash them properly but they're better quality veg by far just more expensive usually. Though a bunch of kale here is only £1 so that's not bad as it's a big bunch.
