Timmy is not eating enough hay again and is dropping weight. I have meadow, Ings, Soft Timothy, harder long strand Timothy and oat Redigrass! He is picking the seed heads out of the long strand Timothy and really enjoying them, there aren't many in the bag though. I am sure sometime ago I saw someone selling bags of Timothy seed heads. I have searched all the websites I can think of, anyone know where I can get them or am I imagining this?
Just to add I am syringe feeding him, he is on long term meds approved by a vet.

Sorry to hear that. Hay hutch makes nice hay, not sure if this is any use?

Timothy Seed Heads | The Hay Hutch

Also a different thing but the piggies parcel oat hay recently has had some nice seed heads on it and goes down well over here.
I agree, mine are loving their recent Piggies Parcel oat hay because of the seed heads.

Sorry to hear this, I had a similar issue with mine when I bought the Timothy blend from haybox. Left it all and just ate the seed heads. Although they are now eating the ings and meadow hay from hay and straw, but sounds like you’ve got them already

Thank you everyone. I will have a look at the Hay Hutch ones. He has been eating all the hays I have until the last couple of days I suspect. He had a dose of cystitis before Christmas and I suspect he is feeling a bit off again. I'm hoping mixing some seed heads into the hays we have will encourage him to eat more hay while we get on top of whatever is going on with him.
