Timothy Hay vs Orchard Grass

What is difference? I have started to see Orchard grass in store and looks like they would like it better? what do you think
 
My lot love Orchard Grass (especially Oxbow drool ) over all other hay.

The strands are usually very long, lovely and green and sweet-smelling

Orchard grass gets the thumbs up from my piggies for sure!
 
is it ok to give that unlimited? I was told you should give alfalfa unlimited, more as a treat, but timothy Hay was ok to give unlimited? Can i give unlimited orchard grass?
 
I do usually. I try and swap around so they don't get bored of the same things, so they'll have say Orchard Grass with some Timothy Hay then Excel Herbage (or similar) for a few days/week to give them a change :)

I think the problem with Alfalfa is it's high calcium content compared to regular hay as it is a not a grass hay :)
