Hi I stumbled across this whilst buying food the other day and thought i'd give it a go. . . . My guineas always have hay in their hutch and also in wire hay ball. It usually lasts a few days in the ball witi some of them much longer. I tried this hay as a change, filled it one evening and by morning it was all gone! Since then everytime i give it to them it goes just as quick. I don't know if it's the dandelions in it, my piggies have fresh ones all the time it's their favorite, but i was astonished, as much as they like their food they've never gone so crazy over something that isn't fresh leaves before. Has anyone else tried it?

My piggies love the hay with dandelions as well. It never lasts long when I give them it so they must love it. When I give them just normal hay they look at me as if to say 'what is this rubbish you are giving us'!

Mine too. They are even fussy with plain ol timothy hay now, not good enough any more!

Mine used to love it then suddently went off it and prefer the plain Excell hay. Also it's advised you don't feed that hay all the time because although dandelion is good for piggies, it shouldnt be given in so much excess. I can't remember exactly why I think it can cause UTI's or something. But as a treat hay its perfect. I have no idea why my pigs stopped liking it.

I tried it with mine a number of times over the years. It goes down well, but if it is in direct competition with Oxbow...

Even after 4 months exclusively on Oxbow, the Oxbow still wins!

I am defintely using it only as a treat, aprt from UTIs it's very pricey with 7 very hungry piggies! I try to give as much leaves as pos, that's their fom favorite and I think it's prop best for them, but his is a close second I reckon! :)
