I give my two boys Timothy hay. Unfortunately they are very wasteful. They selectively eat the finer pieces and leave the coarser bits. I have just been replacing it as needed but it's so wasteful. Should I leave them to eat up the rest before providing more? I'm worried they would end up leaving it altogether hence replacing it. Is there another finer hay that they would be less picky with? It's so expensive to waste so any solutions suggested would be welcome!

Hiya,

We mix our hays, Meadow & Timothy. We also buy in bulk from an organic farm. That said you may want to try B & M stores, which we have used in the past.

Glennwood Meadow Hay 3.5kg

Timothy Hay 1kg

Our piggies like both types...

Thanks! I will look into this. Just clicked on the Glennwood meadow hay. B and M stores advise it's not for human consumption. Good to know! Lol!
