Does anybody know of where I can purchase a large bale of Timothy hay, not the usual small pet shop bags , about 20kgs. I only want 1 bale at a time a lot of feed merchants require a minimum order. I'm located in Plymouth, South West of England. Many thanks.

I'm in Scotland so I don't really know of anywhere near you, to be quite honest I don't really know of anywhere near me! I get from Pets at Home.

Timothy Hay UK,have lovely green hay.it is sold in 9kg bags,if you purchase 20kgs,it costs £40.00.this years hay is exceptional.there is a 2nd cut that is soft.you need get this on line.

I highly recommend Timothyhay.co.uk they deliver within a day or two, and their products are exceptionally good.
I feel that I want to stop recommending them though - they ran out earlier in the year and I couldn't get any lol.

I went back to Timothyhay.co.uk after I had a bad batch from the hayandstraw.co.uk (riddled with thistle, ended up throwing it all away). The girls all get their noses in the air when I get it out to change and top up in the mornings.

I've had a few bales of this and it was nice, if rather a lot of dust! Piggies loved it too, but the price went up recently and it now costs £23 for a single bale. I've not long opened a bale from ebay and it's really nice stuff, this year's crop and sweet smelling - piggies approve!
