Betsy's five babies were very small when they were born at Norman Gormans Guinea Pig Sanctuary, but they are thriving and are now a lively bunch!

Perhaps you might want to think of small small tree names for them for the "Tree Babies" naming raffle once all expected babies are born.
Each name suggestion is £1/$1, which goes directly towards the care of the 20 or so expected babies (15 are already born with two mums still go any time). Don't forget to add your name, so Molly can announce the lucky winner with each named baby!
Paypal (gift option) to [email protected] or enter via www.gofundme/NGGPSbabyfund (type in the whole link).

This is adorable! I love the fluffy 'loner' to one side in each pigture... a thinker that one, I'm sure. x

Most of the mums are abys, and so are most of the babies born so far.

They were an emergency intake from a backyard breeder, who had graciously neglected to tell the sanctuary owner that ALL of the sows were pregnant. The sanctuary, while of good standard and on our list of recommended rescues, is only a small one run from her own house, so you can imagine how poor Molly is struggling with up to 20 extra mouths to feed and to find homes for in due time! It is important to keep it going, as we have far too few rescues for the number of unwanted piggies in this country anyway. :(

You can follow the story with lots of pics directly via my own Wiebke's Tribe facebook page: Wiebke's Tribe or via the sanctuary's facebook page: Norman Gormans Guinea Pig Sanctuary

Babies are a great antidote for the pain you are currently going through! Trying to run a campaign of supporting this small sanctuary through its crisis has helped me cope during my time caring for my little foster girl and stroke survivor Nimue, especially after she had more strokes and deteriorated quickly over the course of the last week.
When you come to the end of one life, helping little beings having a good start at the beginning of it gives you kind of a balance. :tu:

:D The one on the left in top picture has such big ears,I thought it was a rabbit for a minute! But they are all sooooo cute!:love::love: IS there anything more adorable than baby piggies? I don't think so!

The babies are currently at the age when they switch over from mainly depending on mum's milk bar to starting to eat mainly solids.

Molly has promised me lots of baby pics to help with fundraising, but so far you can find all newborn baby pics on my facebook page: Wiebke's Tribe

Amazing work, from all of you. x

I'm a little bit in love with the Aby! x

There are more aby babies; keep an eye out - I am going to post more pics!

But if you would like to "godmother" the little aby or sponsor it in Casran's name, I can speak to Molly about it. If you think it would help you right now and in the coming weeks?

I'm glad they're all doing well! They are the sweetest! Thanks for sharing the pictures x

That's a lovely idea. Can I give it some thought.

At the moment I'm so stretched beyond my emotional and financial limits with Casran's ongoing care, I'd have to see how things go over the next few weeks really.
