Tiny Bugs In Hay

There are loads of tiny bugs in my hay (Nature's Own). They move quite quickly and they're pale, are these hay mites? If they are, would freezing my hay kill them permanently?

Wow its a wile since lve heard that
I used to put bags ot hay in the microwave , just to be sure !
But make sure you put it in a paper bag and not a plastic

How long do you put it in the microwave for, and at what temperature? Will this definitely kill the mites and can they come back to life, lol?

Hi, if l remember corectly , no more than 30sec seemed to get of the ones l had in my hay

I dont think The fridge would permanatly kill them , as the servive heavy frosts.

NB watch it cafully and take out is there is any smell of smoke

I'm not sure. Do you know of any hay that definitely has no bugs?

As as far as l know microwaves have the potentiol to kill all boilogical life

But persnaly l found it to much messing .

The only other thing is spray chemicals ,

I would bin the bag and get a new one if you can.

Do you know of any hay that is guaranteed not to have bugs of any sort in it? I literally can't find one that doesn't.
