We are going away in the summer and I'm trying to decide what is best for my piggies, to find a place that will board them or a friend to come and feed them etc
Anyone got any advice and or tips on selecting good boarding places?
I am in the West Midlands

There is also a website www.findpetboarding.co.uk which will list boarders, but also go on recommendation so it would be worth contacting Teejay for availability/ location.

If your going away for a length of time a boarder is always better than an inexperienced friend and also offers piece of mind, however you could also set up a piggy swap with another piggy lover which would mean looking after their pigs when they are away and vice versa.

I've run my own boarding place in London for sometime now and each pig is different but all receive a high standard of care and attention, they are handled, talked to and cared for as if they were my own, not left in their hutch to get on with it. When boarding always go and have a look round first as there is nothing worse than leaving your pig somewhere where you are concerned about.

Hi Gooksters, as Guinea Pig Slave mentioned, I'm in Oldbury and I run a small and friendly boarding service (www.vipiggies.co.uk).

I'd be more than happy for you to come along for a pre-visit, just so you can check out our facilities and ask any questions you might have.

You can either contact me via PM on here, by mobile 07929 441179 or by email [email protected]

Thanks for the replies. Have looked at your site and am still thinking/deciding what to do I don't really want to leave my girls at all but they can't come!

We board our girls at Teejays for thier holidays and they love it!
Can really recommend Teejay, she looked after our girls really well and gave us peace of mind that they were safe and cared for.
