hi i am new to being a guinea pig owner, are there any basic tips i will need to know!

i know how to clean them, i give them good food and hay, i get them out every day and they are tame, any thing else?
 
Weigh them every week. Weight loss is one of the biggest indicators that something is wrong. Always weigh them at the same time every week because the difference between a full tummy ans an empty one could be 30 grams. If they've lost more that 50 grams then weigh them daily because this is sometimes a glitch & they may be back to normal the next day.
