To Blow Or Not To Blow...

This may seem like a silly question but I wanted to get different opinions. When you bathe your little piggies, do you blow dry them after (on cool and low setting, of course ;)) or do you towel dry them and let them run the rest off?
 
I wouldn't put the hairdryer on mine - they would be terrified! I turned the underfloor heating on in advance and after towelling as much off as I could I then put them under a chair (their favourite place) for them to have a little sleep and dry off.
 
Hazelnut does not even like the feel of the wind ruffling his hair so I daren't try the hair dryer. He gets a good rub down by towel & then I wrap him up in the towel & he will stay in it until I take it away, which is when he is completely dry. Peanut Butter gets a rub down as well but he will squirm out of the towel as soon as the vegie treats are at an end. He doesn't wander far from Hazelnut though, so he keeps getting frequent rub downs until he too is dry.
 
I dry mine with the hair dryer on the lowest setting. They do not like it but I am scared they will get ill otherwise.
 
I use combination of towel & hairdryer on low setting.
 
I dont own a hair dryer (yes a female that does not own one!) so they get bathed and wrapped in a towel until pretty much dry and ill pop the fire on in the front room to make sure theres no chill in there and keep them in there until dry, its the only room that has its own heater as such rather than just the central heating.
 
I dry them with a towel as best I can then blow dry them on a warm/cool setting, holding the dryer well away from them, so they only get the weakest air on them. I don't like leaving them to dry naturally unless it is a very warm day :)

I gave them both a good bathe in the kitchen sink and towel dried them as best as I could and have but them back in their cage which is in front of the radiator. I put a couple of boxes with holes in and stuffed with hay so they can keep warm.
They're not too happy with me but I'm sure it's nothing a chunk of carrot can't fix :)
 
I try to dry with a towel but they always decide to run around in circles until they dry off. I always put the heating on just before bath time.

Just keep an eye on his grease gland. If he has not been neutered he will need it cleaned. My Sophie has a very active grease gland and needs bum baths.
 
Haha!Bum Baths! I had no idea what that but was until last week. By active do you mean very greasy bum,? I know that probably sounds a bit stupid but I've never noticed before so I'm guessing mines not too bad. Would that contribute to greasy fur?

Yes, active means greasy. Sophie gets dark marks on her. The first time I thought something was wrong so I rushed her to the vet!lol
