I had my little GPig for only 16 months, he died 2 weeks ago yesterday from pneumonia, after getting it for the 2nd time. We called out the emergency vet and he went into the vets for 5 hours, but there was nothing they could do and he had to be put to sleep.

I miss my little Toby and I miss looking after him

I want to get another little one, or two, but dont know when is the right time or where to start looking either!​
 
I am so sorry that you lost poor toby so soon. You did for him all you could, and he did know that he was loved and cared for!

At the bottom of the page there is a link to the Guinea Pig Rehome (org.uk) website. On it, you will find a list of rescues and piggies near you if you live in the UK. By the time you have sorted out the adoption, Toby's friend will hopefully have come out of deep mourning and will enjoy a new little boyfriend. It would be ideal, if you found a rescue where you could take your bereft boy and let him make his own choice! Ring around and ask all rescues within reach!
 
Sorry fairywinds for your loss rip toby popcorn free at rainbow bridge, when to get a new piggy depends on whether you have a lonely piggy left on his own in which case the sooner the better, if it is for you then wait until you feel you are ready. There are member of the forum who run rescues who may be able to help you
 
So sorry to hear about Toby. Its amazing how much you miss these little animals when they are taken to Rainbow Bridge and my heart goes out to you. Run free at Rainbow Bridge sweet Toby and know that you are sadly missed.
