Today I Realised That My Guinea Pigs Love Me!

Seems a bit silly but today I realised that my guinea pigs actually love me!.

We were having floor time in the hall way because there is nothing they can chew or get stuck under and someone rattled the letter box by putting a leaflet in it. The noise from the letter box smacking shut and the dog barking in the other room spooked my two girls and they run for their lives from one end of the hall way to the other where I was sat and they threw themselves into my lap.

They are very independent girls and would rather jump all over a box than sit snuggled with me but I made me realise that they do love me and even see me as 'safe' for them!

Oooooh such beautiful girls! It is wonderful when they let you know they trust you to be their safe haven. You are right to be proud. My boys don't like the telephone ringing, even when it's just on the telly, or the squeaky garden gate. Each time one of these noises occurs, they stop whatever they are doing, freeze & look at me. I say "it's OK baby boys" & they go right back to whatever they were doing. Melts me every time.

How lovely! Its one of those moments that makes all the poop, hay and hard work very much worth it! They're gorgeous too by the way!
