Today we went to the park,

This morning was so bright and sunny that we took a trip to the park with the 3male rats.

Unfortunately the piggies could not come as I don't trust placing a portable run on the public grasslands with so many doggies widdling on it. The rats were more then happy to have a good sniff of spring air while balancing on shoulders out of harms way. Did get approached by a child of about 9 who asked why we had mice..I corrected her that they are actually rats (I was a bit surprised she thought mice got this big!) Then she asked why there were 3 of them. All I could think to reply was "why not?" I was really at a loss for a better answer especially after the whole mouse thing.

A few joggers did a double takes but no one seemed to phased by it.

Aww a day out at the park with the pets is so cute!

I would love to take a piggy or two out with me, but I do not want to separate them from the gang either! I wish everyone could see how wonderful piggies are as pets...although if Snowy gets much bigger I will be using him as a pillow! He is soooo cuddly!

I love that idea, happy rats in the fresh air. I had a friend years ago who took her hampster everywhere with her in the top pocket of her shirt. He used to surprise strangers by suddenly sticking his head out for a look around.

Haha I bet that caused a few gasps. I was on the subway yesterday sat opposite a very large, very prim lady when a little rat face suddenly poked out of the folds of her dress. I totally was not expecting that!
