Well I've been the proud owners of Toffee and Fudge for over a month now. My knowledge and love of guinea pigs has increased a thousand fold. I'm very pleased to say that with a little help from my son we have accomplished two nail trimmings and their feet are looking a lot better. They were in good condition when I had them but everyone says their coats are even glossier now. They go mad when they hear me come in from work, and apparently greet my husband (the least keen of guinea pigs) with incredible squeaks of delight whenever he goes into the room where they are. He is needless to say, the only member of the family who eats bananas on a reasonably regular basis and they love the skin (just a little piece about twice a week). They are completely unphased by just about anything - except my sneezes which I confess can be on the loud side. They are an ENORMOUS hit at work! They have now been into the care home three times, and each time the smiles and affection they have given and received has been something truly wonderful to see. The residents love them and rarely ask me how I am in the morning when they see me now, I am far more likely to be asked if Toffee and Fudge are ok. My cat really couldn't care less if they are around or not (though I'd never give him a chance to prove me wrong), and my dog remains scared of them which means he is no threat. My lodger gets them out all the time, and my neighbours children are always in and out to see them. Here is a picture of Fudge looking for her celery, and Toffee enjoyiFudge where is the celery.webp toffee chin rub.webp ng a chin rub
