My piggie Toffee isn't eating much

She looks fine but she's isn't moving round much and so far she's only had water and grass

She's refused the cucumber and celery I offered her

I would get her to the vet to rule out any illnesses. Pigs hide them from us. Can you start syringe feeding mashed pellets or critical care as well, as a pig that stops eating can go down hill very quickly.

Good luck! :)

Ditto to above, get to the vets ASAP. Could be something to do with her teeth? Could get them to check the back ones, how old is she?

She's about 7

You don't have to tell me how fast a piggie can go downhill once they stop eating

Coffee had cancer and didin't eat much and she was dead in a few days :'(

Okay, sorry I didn't know whether you were new to guinea pigs or had them a while.

I think i joined this forum a while ago but my account seems to have dissapeared lol

anyway yh i have had

Coffee who died of cancer when she was four
Cream who died of old age when she was seven

now i have Toffee and Treacle

Could it be Toffee's teeth? I hope you find out what the problem is and Toffee is better soon :)

I hope so too but she's very old and might not last the night

I'll let you know how she is

Crush her food and syringe it to her mixed with a little water. The other thing you could try is vegetable baby food.

how is toffee today? have just found this thread. try to keep her warm and try syringe feeding and get to a vet asap. sending hugs and healing vibes from me and the girls from oz :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
