Hi a while ago my piggy stopped moving very far. it was like she was too weak to move. she was always a very big piggie. i was wondering if there was anything i could have done for her ?
 
Hi Tasha, welcome to the forum.

Without more details, we couldn't really begin to speculate. The standard line of questioning, to get a better idea of the overall picture, would be:

Did she stop eating?
Did she stop drinking?
Did she lose weight?
What was her diet?
Any other symptoms - heavy breathing, sitting hunched/puffed up in a corner, injuries?

I'm assuming you did lose her, if so, I am very sorry for your loss.
 
Yes I have lost her now

She didn't stop eating or drinking but she was too weak to move to the food and drink so I had to bring it to her. She also felt heavier and more floppy than usual.
 
This sounds like it could have possibly been an injury. Do you know any thing that could have possibly caused this? Have any other animals or dogs around her cage? When Patchy (RIP) was having difficulty walking, it was because he had a spinal injury possibly caused by one of our cats. But again, its just a possibility. Or like alcesterpigs mentioned, she sounded so weak. I dont think its anything you did, but as for helping her, I'm not completely sure.
 
In the case of heart problem/failure there is nothing you could have done.

When she was in her old home, her owners were rough with her and her sister Treacle. They used to drop them back into their cage when they got bored holding them. Also they had a dog that used to bark at them all the time. This was four years before Toffee got ill and they always seemed so healthy before that. It was such a shock and Toffee was dead within a day or so.
 
You are giving an increasingly good description of a pig that had heart failure.
 
Oh ok, then that could be ruled out. I agree with alcesterpigs, it really does sound like she was just weak at heart. I'm sorry for your lost. <3 But I dont think there really was much you could do. >.<
 
Thanks I always wondered if I could have done more. Now I know why each of my pigs passed away. At least I think I do. I was told Coffee died of cancer but there always seemed to be doubt about that.

Coffee didn't eat or drink and we had to force her. All she wanted to do was curl up in a corner.

Cream died of old age, and Treacle pined away.
 
Without tests there's no reason for the vet to say it was cancer. Not eating or drinking could have been any manner of illness, it's usually digestive or dental but any illness can lead to reluctance to eat and drink.
I am sorry you lost all four, it is hard when they are ill and when you lose them.
 
I've just read that pigs with heart problems aren't as hard to pick up and Toffee did stop running from me or trying to escape once I was holding her in the hutch.
 
By the way, I think tests were done on Coffee and the vet said there might be fluid on her kidneys
 
Typical heart symptoms, both the not running away and the fluid. It must be a comfort to have a good idea now on what happened.
 
Its always good to understand what could have been wrong with them. But again at the same time, it hurts to know. :( </3
 
Yes it does D:

And Coffee had fluid on her kidneys but Toffee was the pig in question here
