Last night Toffeewoffee was chirping for a long while, louder than ever, and noises and lights did not stop her which is very unusal, it was going on for a good half an hour, i took some video's on my phone, though you cant see her in this one as i was laying in bed, you may need to turn the volume up full i know i did:



The other one is actually a video of her, but my OH uses a bad word in the backround, so i wont post it on here as i dont want to get into trouble, however i will happily PM you the clip if you wanted to watch her doing it.

No sound on PC at work! Will have a listen when I get home, always love hearing chirping it's very rare...

Were her lips going in and out, while doing it?
 
Oh my goodness! I know that some guinea pigs can chirp, but I've never actually heard the sound before. I used to find it hard to believe when some owners said that they genuinely thought that there was a bird in the room, but it really does sound like that, doesn't it. How strange! I really can't imagine any of my boys making that sound. It must have been terrifying the first time you heard it?!

Bless! I've never heard that from mine. Hamish occasionally makes just a single bird like chirrup, but that's all. :)
 
I actually have 2 chirpers, Toffee and Scrummy, they only do it ocassionally, but this is the first time i have ever been able to record it, usually a light or a sound (aka my phone) makes them stop immediately, but she was really going at it last night bless her, the first time i heard it (she had only been with us a few weeks) I was worried she was unhappy, but knew it was chirrping and very rare! It is really lovely.

Lee, yes her mouth did kind of move, i will send you the other video link i apologise in advance for the swear word Martyn decided to use lol.

She was at it again brefily last night, i so wish i knew what it meant as its worrying me, though she is fine in herself....

Don't worry Treacy bum does it occasionally.. Sometimes when she's been spooked by a loud noise, other times for no reason. Cookie watches her intently when she does it though.
