Hello! I'm new to forum but not to Guinea Pigs. I will admit I don't know that much about them though, aside from reading some books. ;D I have one lone baby, she is female. Her name is Abby. We wan't to get her a friend. Can two females from different litters get along?

I put my Tilly with my other two girls (sisters) Amber and Trixie they were fine still are. I did get them all as babies Amber and Trixie were about 3 weeks older than Tilly.

yeah, all my guinea pigs who are female except dixie and her daughter meeka come from different litters, and are of different ages my youngest is Lola who is 3 1/2 months approx and losi & morgan are both just over 5 years, they live happily together i have 5 in together.

my holly and meggie are step sisters there have the same dad but diffrent mum and have beening togther seens holly was 6 weeks and meggie was 7 weeks holly is a week younger than meggie and there got on fine

i also have lilly and her 3 girls and i put her 3 girls out in the run with holly and meggie and there get on fine

Two sows from different litters should get along perfectly alright. You very rarely get sows fight, even though it has been known. Pairings go better when you put two baby sows together or when you pair up an adult sow with a baby sow, but like I have said and others have said sows rarely fight (meaning pairing two adult sows have worked on many occasions). But you have to follow the normal steps to help them bond. O0

I have 7 sows in particular that love eachother and they are al different ages and breeds and not one from the same litter :smitten: ;D Sometimes the older ones will nip, but ive never experienced anything worse than that with sows! O0
