I just wanted to share how proud i feel of one of my guinea boys! Hes always seemed to be so intelligent we have to keep him really entertained. Anyway, hes always been really clean at carpet time (only sometimes will he do a cheeky poo!)but lately hes really been communicating well with me when he wants to go back to his cage for a toilet break. He goes on his hind legs and starts scratting against the door in our living room like a dog (his cage is in the room next door), so i put my hands down and say "come on then" and he climbs into them and i put him back in his cage. I just find it so cute and feel so proud of him that hes got to trust me so much

Thats awesome! How do they become toilet trained? Ive just adopted 3 boys a couple days ago and they are going everywhere even the food bowl I'm constantly going out to clean it out!

That's a brilliant achievement, I'm hoping to toilet train my two as well, hope it goes well for me like it has you!

What a smart little boy you have
Although most of mine are quite good at letting me know when they need the loo, usually by pulling at my clothes or getting wriggly, Rodney ends up doing a little dance because he doesn't seem to want to go home but equally doesn't want to pee on me either! I have to have a puppy training pad nearby so he can take himself off and come back when he's done.
I can't believe how clever piggies can be!

They are so clever. I never set out to toilet train him, its like he just knew not to do it. Trouble is, now when hes on the grass he doesnt realise hes allowed to poop on the grass and he bites on the side of his run for our attention hahaha!
