Toilet training?

hey guys so a little question i brought one of those corner litter trays for inside the cage. And have been putting the poops in there to try and train my lil boys to go there instead. ive even tried moving it to the places of the cage where they poop. but still no success.

They seem to love to just drag hay onto it and sleep there in the poops. obviously i clean it out regulary but this is not helping them get the idea.

They are rescued and i was told about 4 1/2 months, but i reckon there **** older than this. have they just become to old to be litter trained?
i would love to use fleece inside their indoor cage but at the min will get way to messy they are pooping machines

any suggestions would be great ?/

I'm afraid I can't help, but if you figure it out, let me know. My three are completely indiscriminate in their toilet habits!

Generally you can't litter train guinea pigs. I know of one or two pigs that always poop in one or two places but that just seems to be down to their own preference than anything the owner has done.
I have litter trays for my pigs and fill them up with hay. As pigs tend to pee and poop when they eat, this means that the worst of the pee/ poop ends up in the litter trays but there is still plenty everywhere else. I change the hay everyday and scoop up the poop from the fleece.

I brought a litter tray thats too big to fit in the cage with the houses where they are and all the toys oops! But we put it in the run the last couple of weekends with them, we put sawdust on the bottom and then hay on top. Last weekend there were a few poops in there but this weekend they pooped and wee'd in there a fair bit... still went everywhere else though as well so don't think they'll be litter trained but it helps make the cleaning up easier
