Hello there all,

Me and the girlfriend recently got 3 piggies - two sows & one boar, named Snook, Worzel and Chickenfoot :))

We keep them in a 3 large 3 tier cage during the day, but let them run around the living room for a few hours in the evening.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to toilet train the little mites......although the poop is easy to scoop and their wee doesnt seem to smell. I would much rather have them do it in a tray or something!

Also can anyone suggest an easy (but safe) way to make a little ramp so that I can make them to get in and out of their cage safely?

I hope the boy is neutered, else you will be having a lot more than three of them, very quickly!

Toilet training them is hard, as a lot of the time they dont consciously realise they are going. I have found the biys to be cleaner than girls, as sometimes they will go in one corner, but i think it is more because they sit in one place for long periods.

How about one of these for a ramp?

they can be bent into any shape, or an arch over a tray base.

Thanks Spiggly, thats a great idea.

Yeah we got him nuetered a month ago and have just put them all together in the big cage, so no worries there.

He he - yeah Chickenfoots real name is aunt Sally......but she has little chicken feet so I have my little nickname for her! LOL
