Tom's Boar Date

Early indications are good! They're currently in the outdoor run having met on neutral territory. We're just having a bite to eat and then we'll be bringing them in to try them in the indoor cage

I have a good feeling they’re going to be BFFs I’ve never seen Mini snuggle up to another piggie before like this he seems to love Tom (a bit too much apparently... sorry about the boar glue Vicky) It made it soooo much easier to leave him to see them being so cute together.

I’m just stopped at McDonalds en route home having a celebratory chicken nugget meal. :)

Keep us posted how they get on xx

They're in the indoor cage now, they've had a little disagreement but it was over as soon as it had started and theres no harm come to either of them. I think Mini just humped Tom once too often!

They're both layed out now - not next to each other but not at opposite ends either. Thing they've tired themselves out!

I just couldn't get it off so I'm afraid Tom has had to have a buzz cut in that area!

Oh I will, you'll be fed up of hearing about them!

I've been at work this morning and hubby's been keeping an eye on them, he said there's been the occasional bit of teeth chattering, seemingly from Tom is Mini gets too close to him but nothing serious at all. It seems that Tom thinks the back left corner of the cage is his and his alone!

Me too! Mini is teaching Tom just what the fridge opening means and also that you have to wheek loudly at the top of your voice is anything is so much as rustled as it might just mean a snack! Poor Tom bless him, he's a bit slow on the uptake, he tried to put his paws on the bars as Mini had done but only succeeded in slipping and falling flat on his nose!

I think we can safely say this pairing has worked! The boys were out for free range last night and spent all their time running around one after the other, a bit like a two carriage train! Then this morning, I let them loose whilst I cleaned their cage out and they were at it again! They even came into the kitchen to see what I was doing and they've not done that before. Mini has really brought Tom out of his shell and he looks a different piggie! He's taught him to climb the bars (Tom no longer falls flat on his face!) and to wheek whenever the fridge is opened. They even wheeked when hubby got home from work yesterday!

Thank you so much to @Wilbur&Otis for letting Mini come and live with us :)
