Hi guys!
So summer is almost here and it has been very warm in the states.
Lately Midnight has been climbing under his fleece and laying under there. I'm concerned that it may be too hot for him to be doing this. Ive tried everything to keep it pinned down and he always finds a way under. I'm worried he may get stuck under there. Should I not pin it down in order to make sure he is able to get out, and trust that if he gets too warm, he will come out? I always keep a cold water bottle in his csge wrapped in a towel, so he always has that to go to.

my piggies love to go under my fleece... i have a few layers and they go under the top one and make a little tunnel ( even though they have a tunnel, a house and a cardboard box )..... but we are in the UK so not too warm at the moment lol ! maybe buy a snuggle sack to put on top or a little fleece house for him? x

Thanks for your advice! I ended up putting his pigloo back in and that seems to have solved the problem, although I still worry it will be too warm. He does snuggle sacks but since he really only used them after he had surgery this winter, and since then he hasnt. I dont think he likes them very much, although I bet he would like a fleece house!

Our Lucy is the same, and I was always worrying about her.
She loves to bury herself at the bottom of a snuggle sack and then will not move.
So I made her a couple of snuggle sacks with a cotton lining and she also seems ok with those (but will still choose fleece if that is an option).
I think as long as they always have the option to go somewhere cooler, plenty of water, and are kept in an appropriate environment (not too hot) then they will be ok.

Mine lay on top of their snuggle sacks now they are bigger... I bought a fleece house, it's great but was £25! I am quite ok at sewing so it's my mission to master how to make one ! I did manage a nice big tunnel but it's a bit floppy lol !

Hi! I'm in Ohio and it has been very hot already here too. I made my piggies breathable hidies with baskets from the dollar tree. So far they just love them. I cut large holes in the front and back (only because my boys need an entrance and exit to get along lol) but you could probably just cut one hole and i'm sure it would do the job.

I hope you can see them alright in this pic. It's the only one I have, but could get a better one in a bit.
