Hi guys
One of my pics and I don't know which one is keeps emptying the pellet bowl
I think it might be stripey because he's getting some size
How can I cut his pellets down without impairing the girls groath?
Any help or advice would be great
They're not in a C and C cage so I can't put the dividers in at feeding time
Any advice
Thank you

I'm wondering if the hay it's filling enough for them
We are on Timothy hay
I have downgraded the pellet bowl size
Increased the hay
Anything else I can do to stop this little chunky monkey getting any chunkier

I take my pigs pellet bowl out after an hour, it's usually empty by then as they only get a handful between them.
They have a mountain of hay for the rest of the day (topped up morning, afternoon and before bed) and get their veggies at dinner time :)
If you think one is eating less/struggling with competition, you could always hand feed them a little extra perhaps?

Is there a chance of putting a border between them while they have pellets? So they're separated for a period of time each day to get their fill without Stripey possibly hogging it. I'm not sure what cage you use but when I need to do that I just put a few grids for my c&c cage in as a wall and disconnect them afterwards.

They live in 150 CM sky pet products Roger rabbit cage
Hope this helps

I think it really depends on what you mean by 'getting chunky'.
How old is he and how much does he weigh?
How much weight has he gained recently?

I have 2 cages with a pair of piggies in each.
I am not kidding when I say that Oreo and Eddi eat at least 50% more than the girls do.
Seriously they eat more hay, fresh veg and pellets than the others yet all of them have been at a stable weigh (+/- 30 grams) for months.
So just because one piggy is eating more doesn't mean there is a problem.
Once they reach their adult weight they should stay in a similar range unless there is a real problem.
You cage sounds like they have plenty of room to move around and be active, so maybe Stripey just needs to eat more than the others.

Or maybe he just likes to empty the pellet bowl and isn't actually eating them.
Every day Ruby methodically takes all of the pellets out of the bowl and spreads them around the entire cage.
She doesn't eat them (at first) she just likes picking them up and moving them around.
