Ive noticed quite a few white spots where my piggies are peeing.
They have unlimited hay, get two small bowls full of pellets.
They also have green pepper, carrots, cucumber and broccoli once every 2-3 days.
They have a small square of Apple once every 3 weeks.
I hear that it can be signs of a urinary infection but I took them both to the vet last week, surely this would have been picked up through a routine check up?
How do I stop the calcium intake level?

A dry, powdery white deposit is not too much worry, just the excreted calcium. The veg you are feeding is mainly low in calcium so that is good! It is when the piggy looks uncomfortable and makes a squeeking noise when having a wee that you probably have an infection on your hands. A thick, sludgy deposit in the wee would also not be a good sign. High calcium veg includes cabbage, celery, coriander, parsley and watercress. Apples can be high in calcium but you are not feeding it often.

do you feed reddygrass?
l have black tiles on my pigroom floor , it is ideal to show any debris in the wee,

l used to feed reddygrass and there was always traces of white powder to be found,
but once l stopped the readygrass , the white deposits also stopped .
another well know keeper came to the same conclusion

Thank you so much for replying :) I was unsure if it would be serious, there are quite a few small patches so I became a little concerned so thank you for the reassurance :)
