Is it possible to over give them vitamin C?
I've just increased the amount i'm giving My piggie the past few days by adding celery leaves to his cucumber, and broccoli, and hes trying some bell pepper at the moment :)

I also bought some vitamin solution to add to his water bottle today, I'm not sure how good it is, it was the only one i could find in my town centre shops.

Should I hold off using it because i'm changing his diet lately?
I think i'm being overly cautious but theres no harm in asking for peoples opinions

Thanks in advance~

I think you can get loose poopies from too much vitamin c. But not 100% sure.

I would not recommend water soluble vitamin c it isn't a great idea, it can really put your pig off drinking from his bottle, so they drink less and the actual vitamin c basically looses any goodness from being in the light and it looses some from being in water! I just wouldn't bother using it full stop, much better just feeding good veggies every day.

Any vitamin C not absorbed and used by their body passes out in their urine. Poorly piggies need ten times the amount of daily vitamin c than healthy piggies. As Twiams has said though, adding the solution to their water really isn't a good idea.

Thank you very much for the help ^^

When Minky was long term poorly. I either gave her 1ml of Abidec Multivitamin Drops or 2 to 3 ml of unsweetened tomato juice. Either the one that's in Lidl or Prince's.
